The Deputy Airport Director, Commercial and Revenue Development reports directly to the Airport Director and is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring all commercial real property contracts involving John Wayne Airport. They create new innovative strategic opportunities for businesses and are responsible for the oversight of the commercial program at JWA including concession analysis, planning, and leasing to enhance commercial revenue for the Airport. This program includes all airlines, food service, retail, rental cars, parking, tenant improvement, ground transportation, airline affairs, general aviation leasing and commercial advertising at SNA.
Prior to assuming her current position, Ms. Goethals served as the Concessions Real Estate Manager for 5 years and was the interim Deputy Airport Director for the Commercial and Revenue Development division seven months. Before joining JWA, she was Director of Commercial Real Estate at Ontario International Airport where she coordinated the transfer of Airport assets to local control and spearheaded multiple revenue generating concession, airline, advertising, and Fixed Based Operation (FBO) developments. Her experience also includes private-sector retail property management experience with The Lewis Retail Centers focusing on retail property management, real estate development, and contract administration.
Ms. Goethals has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management and political science and government from California State University, Fullerton.
