Amer Moujtahed

Amer Moujtahed serves as the Deputy Airport Director, Maintenance, and is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing strategic actions for building repair and maintenance, airfield repair and maintenance, central utility plant management, and other maintenance service contract management. Mr. Moujtahed also provides proactive infrastructure maintenance, preventative repair, utility maintenance services, evaluation of current facility structures, and anticipates the needs of the traveling community and Airport tenants.

Mr. Moujtahed has more than 25 years of experience, including with John Wayne Airport serving as Senior Operations and Maintenance Manager, Orange County Public Works (OCPW), and Integrated Waste Management. Before joining OCPW, he handled project management duties for several domestic and international organizations. His experience includes contract negotiation, vendor selection, building construction, permitting, IT operations, procurement, and marketing.

Mr. Moujtahed has a master’s degree in engineering management and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from California State University of Long Beach. Additionally, he has a Certificate in Management Practice for Engineering and Technical Professionals from the University of California Irvine, and a Project Management Certificate from the Project Management Institute.
