JWA Overview

The award-winning John Wayne Airport, Orange County (JWA) has been a major cornerstone of Orange County for more than 100 years. It is located in beautiful Southern California and currently serves approximately 11.7 million annual passengers. With flights to more than 40 non-stop destinations in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada, we strive to provide a superior guest experience to ensure travel is convenient and stress-free.

John Wayne Airport is owned and operated by the County of Orange. It is located approximately 35 miles south of Los Angeles, with a service area that includes more than three million people within 34 cities and unincorporated areas of Orange County. The three-letter designator assigned to the Airport by the Federal Aviation Administration is “SNA.”

The Airport is served by eleven commercial airlines and two air cargo airlines. It is home to nearly 500 general aviation (private, non-commercial) aircraft, representing 60% of total operations, and includes two full-service fixed base operators and one limited use general aviation facility. The Airport spans more than 510 acres and operates two runways. The 2,887-foot runway serves general aviation and the 5,700-foot main runway serves both commercial and general aviation aircraft.
