JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT POSTS APRIL 2008 STATISTICS
SANTA ANA, Calif. -
Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport decreased in April 2008 as compared to April 2007. In April 2008, the Airport served 775,205 passengers, a decrease of 9.6% when compared to the April 2007 passenger traffic count of 857,484.
Commercial Carrier flight operations decreased 6.4%, while Commuter Carrier (air taxi) operations decreased 28.5% when compared to the same levels recorded in April 2007.
Total aircraft operations decreased in April 2008 as compared to the same month in 2007. In April 2008, there were 27,914 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), a decrease of 0.8% when compared to 28,138 total aircraft operations in April 2007.
General aviation activity, which accounted for 71% of the total aircraft operations during April 2008, increased 3.2% when compared to April 2007.
