Water Reliability Key to JWA Business
Mesa Water District (Mesa Water) provides water service to John Wayne Airport (JWA) and its approximately nine million annual passengers and visitors. In addition to serving JWA, Mesa Water serves other businesses – including the OC Fair and South Coast Plaza – over 110,000 residents, and visitors to the District's service area which encompasses most of Costa Mesa, parts of Newport Beach, and some unincorporated areas of Orange County.
Recent improvements to the Mesa Water Reliability Facility (MWRF), accomplished the District's long-standing vision of serving 100 percent of its customers water needs with locally sourced supplies. Mesa Water is now locally reliable and drought-proof with an accessible and affordable source of pure, plentiful water to sustain the District's service area for the next several hundred years.
JWA joined Mesa Water's Board of Directors and other local dignitaries in celebrating Mesa Water Reliability Day on March 13, 2013, by honoring this significant milestone for the District.
