FRONTIER AIRLINES BEGINS
SERVICE FROM
JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT
Santa
Ana, CA –
John Wayne Airport (SNA) is pleased to announce today that Frontier Airlines
has begun new service to Denver, Colorado. Frontier began service on August
31, 2003 and currently operates two daily non-stop flights between SNA
and Denver International Airport. Frontier will add a third flight to Denver
beginning on October 1, 2003.
“More
options are always better,” said Airport Director Alan L. Murphy. “Whether
for business or pleasure, Denver is definitely a popular travel
destination for Southern Californians.”
Frontier Airline’s entrance into John Wayne Airport is a product of
new passenger capacity limits put in place on January 1, 2003 by the
Amended Settlement Agreement. This agreement governs and limits commercial
operations and passenger capacity at John Wayne Airport. This is the
second tour of duty for Frontier Airlines, which formerly provided service
to John Wayne Airport in the early 1980’s.
