american Express® cards now accepted at john Wayne Airport

Santa Ana, CA - Beginning Saturday, July 1, 2000, leaving the parking lots at John Wayne Airport (JWA) will be quicker and easier with the acceptance of the American Express® card.  This is the first time the American Express® card will be accepted at the Airport.

The Airport has partnered with the American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. to provide this payment option to add to the convenience and ease of using JWA.  The objective of this partnership is to make traveling more pleasant by giving Airport patrons a variety of payment options as they exit the parking garages.  By providing this additional service, JWA patrons can leave the Airport even quicker than ever before.

“This is very exciting for Airport users,” said Alan L. Murphy, Airport Director.  “For the first time, travelers exiting Airport parking lots have the option of paying with the American Express® card.”

Other forms of payment accepted at Airport parking lots include:  Visa, Mastercard, checks and cash.  Parking rates remain the same:  $1 per hour and $11 for each 24-hour period for those lots adjacent to the terminal and $1 per hour and $7 for each 24-hour period for the Main Street Lot.  Express Valet is also available for $12 for each 24-hour period.
