Santa Ana, CA – John Wayne Airport showcases BRIDGEDwork Art/Craft exhibit for the enjoyment of travelers. This exhibition features a unique blend of craft and artworks. The exhibition will be on display in the Concourse Gallery of the Thomas F. Riley Terminal through April 2, 2000.
“John Wayne Airport is proud to bring this exquisite collection to our travelers to enjoy,” said Airport Director Alan L. Murphy.
The collection displays a wide range of items, including teapots, perfume bottles, vases, wood turned objects, and many other beautiful items. Guest-curator Connie Mississippi assembled this exhibit.
This exhibit, collected over the
course of 20 years, features a distinctive collection of wood turned objects.
This exhibition showcases sculptures and artifacts that beautifully blend
art and craft. This 83-piece
exhibition, owned by Dr. and Mrs. Irving Lipton, is part of a larger collection
currently on display at Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
The BRIDGEDwork exhibition serves to bring visual art to our travelers while providing airport visitors with an opportunity for cultural enrichment that adds to the Airport's pleasing environment.
