|
SANTA ANA, Calif. – Photography by artist Lydia E. Ringwald will be on display at John Wayne Airport between April and June 2008 in the Thomas F. Riley Terminal as part of the Airport’s “Community Focus Program”, which features Orange County artists. Ringwald’s photographs feature selections from her ‘Venice Carnivale’ series, taken during the annual Carnivale celebration in Venice, Italy. The photographs will be displayed in the departure (upper) level near the security screening areas and on the arrival (lower) level near baggage carousels 1 and 4. An example of Ms. Ringwald’s work can be seen below.
“This series is an invitation to the viewer to experience the treasures of human heritage that resonate within each of us, with the power and splendor of the past,” said Ringwald. -###- John Wayne Airport (SNA) is a self-supporting enterprise, owned and operated by the County of Orange, and serves nearly ten million passengers annually and is governed by the five-member Orange County Board of Supervisors.
