AIRPORT'S ART CONTEST OPEN TO ORANGE COUNTY STUDENTS

SANTA ANA, Calif. – John Wayne Airport’s 18th annual Student Art Contest is underway. Students interested in entering will “Design an Aviation Postage Stamp,” the theme of this year’s contest. All Orange County students in grades K- 12 should submit their entries no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2007. For entry information and submittal forms visit any Orange County Library or Public School or log on to http://www.ocair.com/terminal/artexhibits.htm for more information.

“Each year we receive hundreds of entries from students throughout the County,” said Airport Director Alan Murphy. “We look forward to featuring the postage stamp designs at the Airport for the traveling public to enjoy.”

Winners from three age categories will be selected and exhibited from December 4, 2007 through January 4, 2008 on the arrival level, near baggage claim, of the Thomas F. Riley Terminal. 

Each entrant with receive a certificate of participation from the Airport and select winners will be awarded prizes donated by sponsors including Aloha Airlines, Delta Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Angels Baseball, Bowers Museum, McDonalds at JWA, and the Santa Ana Zoo.
