SANTA ANA, Calif. – John Wayne Airport (JWA) is open and normal operations are expected to continue throughout the day. As of 10:45 a.m., wind conditions reported by JWA air traffic control are coming from the north to northeast at 28 mph with gusts as high as 40 mph. As a result, flights are departing to the north and arriving from the south. Passengers are encouraged to contact their airline for up-to-the-minute flight status and for updates on the operational status at JWA, log on to www.ocair.com. For information about the fires, log on to www.ocfa.org or call the County of Orange emergency operations public hotline at 714-628-7085.
