JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT TO HOST AMERICAN RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE

SANTA ANA, Calif. – Passengers traveling to and from John Wayne Airport on Monday, September 10, 2007 will have an opportunity to donate blood from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Orange County Chapter of the American Red Cross will have its Bloodmobile parked at John Wayne Airport’s Thomas F. Riley Terminal on the lower (arrival) level outside of Terminal A, between the first and second traffic signal. Departing passengers may consider making time to give blood prior to checking in for their flight and arriving passengers can participate after picking up their luggage at baggage claim.

“The blood drive is a convenient way for willing employees and passengers to donate to a good cause,” said Alan L. Murphy, airport director. “We hope passengers, meeters and greeters, and airport employees will consider participating.”

Appointments can be made in advance online at www.givelife.org and by typing in JohnWayneAirport (no spaces), clicking on John Wayne Airport as location, and then clicking on the appointment time of choice.
