Face Coverings

Masks are no longer required by TSA to be worn at John Wayne Airport. Guests and employees have the option to wear a mask during travel or while working.     Increased deep cleaning and disinfecting of high traffic/touchpoint areas, restrooms, and concessions.
  • What is the TSA doing at security checkpoints to protect travelers?
    TSA has increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting of frequently touched surfaces throughout the checkpoint including security screening equipment and bins. For more information, please visit https://www.tsa.gov/coronavirus.
  • Can I fly if I have a cold?
    Check with your doctor to evaluate your health before your scheduled departure. Some airlines check for visibly sick passengers in gate seating areas and before boarding and may not allow you to enter the aircraft. Visit the CDC here for more information.

  • What can I do to keep myself and others healthy while traveling through John Wayne Airport?
    Protect yourself and others by washing your hands (for at least 20 seconds) as you travel through the Terminal, and before and after security screening. While face masks are no longer required by TSA to be worn at John Wayne Airport, guests have the option to wear a mask during travel.
