JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT POSTS OCTOBER 2012 STATISTICS
SANTA ANA, Calif. - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in October 2012 as compared to October 2011. In October 2012, the Airport served 776,658 passengers, an increase of 6.9% when compared to the October 2011 passenger traffic count of 726,513.
Commercial aircraft operations increased 3.7%, while Commuter aircraft operations decreased 8.4% when compared to the levels recorded in October 2011.
Total aircraft operations increased in October 2012 as compared to the same month in 2011. In October 2012, there were 21,436 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), an increase of 10.5% when compared to 19,394 total aircraft operations in October 2011.
General aviation activity, which accounted for 67% of the total aircraft operations during October 2012, increased 14.5% when compared to October 2011.
