JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT ANNOUNCES RESTAURANT CHANGES

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Beginning Friday, January 27, 2012, John Wayne Airport restaurants Oasis Grill & Sky Lounge and Brioche Dorée Café & Bakery, located between Gates 8 and 9, will be closed to the public.  HMSHost will construct a new Ruby’s Diner, Ruby’s To-Go and Farmer's Market by Laguna Culinary Arts at this location.

A new restaurant, Hobie Sand Bar, located near Gate 12, will open to the public on Friday, January 27, 2012.

The Sports Page Pub, near Gate 12, will also permanently close to the public. New construction in this location will bring an updated McDonald’s McCafé to the Airport in the Spring.

These new dining establishments will join the 20-plus new retail and dining options now open at John Wayne Airport. Other recently opened concessions include:

  • The Marketplace: Located between Gates 13 and 14, opened in December and features Javi’s (of the Javier’s eateries), Subway, Pei Wei, Pinkberry, Jerry’s Wood-Fired Dogs, Zov’s and Caterina’s along with Beachfront News and InMotion Entertainment.
  • Terminal C: Carl’s Jr./Green Burrito (Gate 15), Anaheim Ducks Breakaway Bar & Grill (Gate 18), CNN Newsstand (Gate 15), Ciao Gourmet Market (Gate 22), and OCTravel Mart (pre-security).
  • Terminal B: Vino Volo wine bar (Gate 8), and La Tapenade Mediterranean Café (pre-security).
  • Terminal A: RipCurl and Sunglass Hut (Gates 7 and 8), Hudson News/Discover OC (Gates 3 and 4), California Pizza Kitchen (Gates 4 and 5), Zov’s Grab and Go (pre-security), and CNN Newsstand (pre-security).
