JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT BEGINS ROLL OUT OF NEW PARKING SYSTEM

SANTA ANA, Calif. - John Wayne Airport (JWA) began rolling out the first phase of its new state-of-the-art Parking Access and Revenue Control System (PARCS) on Thursday, July 7, 2011.

PARCS will be installed first in Parking Structure A2. The new system will feature two options: a traditional paper ticketed system and a new ticketless feature. With the new ticketless option, a patron will be able to swipe a credit card to gain access to the parking structure. The same credit card would be used upon exit, eliminating the need to retain a paper parking ticket.

Parking Structures A1, B2 and C will begin using the new system later this year. Additional features of PARCS, to be implemented in the future, include a pay-on-foot station in Parking Structure C and a parking space count system that will allow passengers to see how many spaces are available at each level.

Passengers exiting the parking facilities at the Airport during this transition may experience some delays as users become acquainted with the new system. For more information, please visit our Improvement Program Web site with a full explanation of the PARCS system at http://www.ocair.com/Improvements/Projects/PARCS.htm or contact John Wayne Airport Customer Relations at 949.252.5200.
