JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT OFFERS TRAVEL TIPS FOR BUSY FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND

SANTA ANA, Calif. - John Wayne Airport (JWA) anticipates a busier-than-normal travel period from Friday, July 1 through Tuesday, July 5 during the Fourth of July holiday. Last year during this travel period, more than 110,000 passengers traveled through the Thomas F. Riley Terminal. Visitors to JWA during this time should be aware of ongoing construction at the Airport and adhere to all posted speed limits to ensure a safe holiday weekend. As a reminder, fireworks are prohibited and should be left at home.

PLAN AHEAD
Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead and give themselves 90 minutes to two hours to find parking, check their luggage and go through the security checkpoint to reach their gates in time for their flights.

As JWA continues construction in the Riley Terminal, seating may be limited and walkways will be narrow, especially near gates 12 and 13 where a new centralized concessions marketplace and secure corridor for international flights is being constructed. The Airport is working hard to minimize impacts to passengers while at the same time finish much-needed construction to bring even more services and amenities to the traveling public.
