Program Goals

The following goals have been established to guide the Improvement Program planning and design process. Its important to note that these goals may need to be adjusted over time as the facility design evolves.

Affordability

Be environmentally responsible utilizing energy-efficient vehicles and equipment wherever possible.

Utilize a variety of sources of funding to provide a program that can be developed and funded in incremental, affordable stages.

Convenience

Maintain the existing convenient business character of the terminal (quick-in/quick-out) while providing an attractive, pleasant experience for passengers, visitors, and other terminal users and tenants served by clear, uncomplicated terminal systems.

Equality

Environments in both new and existing facilities will be consistent, respecting architectural and aesthetic character of the existing terminal in the new facility.

Flexibility

Emphasize flexibility to accommodate changing airline and airport operations needs as they evolve over time; continue to provide convenient, efficient and secure air service, including providing a more spacious, comfortable environment for passengers, air carriers and tenants.

Safety and Security

Maximize safety and security of passengers, visitors, tenants and employees by adhering to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and all applicable codes, utilizing proven state-of-the-art technology.
